Miami Leading Educator Advancement and Recognition through Networks of Support (Miami LEARNS) Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the recipient of the $26.6 million United States Department of Education, Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program grant, Miami Leading Educator Advancement and Recognition through Networks of Support (Miami LEARNS). Miami LEARNS is designed to increase student achievement and close the achievement gap in high-need schools by ensuring access to highly effective teachers and school leaders through the implementation of a cohesive Human Capital Management System that informs human capital decision-making from pre-service through career advancement. Miami LEARNS aims to increase educator effectiveness through the extension and credentialing of career ladder and lattice pathways, personalized professional learning, and differentiated compensation by recognizing, developing, supporting, and rewarding instructional and leadership excellence.
